Prof. Nafady did his Ph.D. (2000-2004) under supervision of Prof. William Geiger, at the University of Vermont, USA and has been a Research Fellow at Monash University (2005-2011), Melbourne, Australia working with Prof. Alan Bond. Since 2012-present Prof. Nafady is a visiting Professor at RMIT university, Melbourne, Australia. He has made significant contributions to the fields of inorganic/organometallic electrochemistry and material science and has been a pioneer in the development of novel electrochemical and photochemical approaches for controlling the synthesis and fabrication of wide range of metal-organic frameworks and nanostructured materials for applications in water splitting, supercapacitors, biosensors, and other energy-related applications. He has published one book chapter, one review article and more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He has an h-index of 20 and the total number of citations for his publications over 1200.
